About Us

I am Ibisagba Titilayo
Her-dvocates Charity Organisation was founded in 2020 by Ibisagba Titilayo Rebecca, a Feminist, Human Rights activist and Legal Practitioner who is passionate about gender equality and protection of children, she envisions a world where women are empowered, valued, and respected children are protected from all forms of abuse, nurtured to grow to be the best version of themselves and capable of driving societal change. The idea was brought to life after a series of informal discussions and meetings among friends, colleagues, and like-minded individuals who were concerned about the plight of women and girls in their community.
The Turning Point
In 2020, the group’s founder, Ibisagba Titilayo Rebecca, after witnessing a series of life-changing experiences, her commitment to creating an organization that would advocate for women’s rights and empowerment was solidified. During the Covid-19 lockdown there was an increase in domestic violence against women and children. She witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of gender-based violence on women and girls in her community, and the world at large and she knew that she had to take action, from where she was, one woman, one child at a time.
Registration & Launch (2025)
Her-dvocates Charity Organization was officially registered as a non-profit organization in 2025. The organisation had 10 volunteers is hoping to join hands with more likeminded volunteers to work tirelessly to establish a strong foundation, develop a strategic plan, and build a team of dedicated volunteers and staff.
Growth & Expansion
Her-dvocates Charity Organization is working towards becoming a leading voice to advocate for Women’s and Children’s rights in Nigeria, we would continue to work tirelessly to create a world where women and girls can thrive.
